Apple Bundt Cake
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
4 cups apples (peeled and chopped)
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Directions
Pehea your oven to 350°F
Grease and flour your Bundt pan generously.
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk these ingredients together until they're thoroughly mixed.
In another large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until they're well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in the peeled and chopped apples (and nuts, if you're using them) into the mixture. The batter will be thick, but that's okay.
Transfer the batter into your prepared Bundt pan. Smooth out the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, remove it from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
While the cake is cooling, make the glaze. Whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle this over the cooled cake.
