Ninja Foodi Baked Fish
4 pieces of fish, any kind
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp honey
1 cup bread crumbs
¼ tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
Mix mayonnaise with honey in a small dish.
Paint one side of the fish with the mayonnaise mixture. This will serve to hold the breading and replace the need to spray oil on the fish before AC.
The flavor of the mayo disappears after cooking, but consider that most fish sandwiches use tartar sauce, which is a mayo-based condiment anyway.
In another bowl, mix bread crumbs (use panko if you want more crunch) with onion powder and salt. Consider adding other seasonings to your taste.
Place each fish section mayo side DOWN into a bowl of bread crumb mixture. Paint the next side with mayo while sitting in the bread crumb bowl.
Flip the fish to coat the other side.
Place the coated fish into the AC basket.
NO NEED FOR ADDITIONAL OIL. The mayo will serve this purpose.
Pre-heat AC to 375F.
Place fish into grill (or Foodi) and AC at 375F for 15 to 18 minutes.
At 15 minutes, check the fish temperature with a thermometer until it reaches a safe 145F internal temp.
