Plum and Apple Brown Betty
2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup packed brown sugar, divided
4 cups sliced plums
2 cups sliced peeled Gala apples
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 Tbsp. non-hydrogenated margarine, melted
1/3 cup Philadelphia Whipped Mixed Berry Cream Cheese Product
1 cup thawed Cool Whip Whipped Topping
Heat oven to 350ºF.
Mix bread crumbs, cinnamon and 1/4 cup sugar until blended. Toss fruit with lemon juice and remaining sugar.
Spoon 1/2 cup bread crumb mixture into 2-L casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover with half the fruit mixture. Repeat layers.
Bake 30 min.
Meanwhile, combine remaining bread crumb mixture, nuts and margarine.
Sprinkle nut mixture over dessert. Bake 15 to 20 min. or until fruit mixture is hot and bubbly, and topping is golden brown. Cool slightly. Mix cream cheese product and Cool Whip until blended.
Serve spooned over individual servings of dessert.
