Hamburger Broccoli Skillet
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
2 tbsp. heavy cream
Directions
Prep your ingredients. Wash and chop the broccoli into small, bite-sized florets. Measure out the ground beef, shredded cheese, and spices for easy cooking.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil, then the ground beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it’s browned and cooked through.
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir well and cook for another 5–7 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still a bit crisp.
Reduce the heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and add half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until everything is combined and creamy.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Cover the skillet and let it cook for 2–3 more minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
