Rice with Pineapple

Ingredients:
1-8 oz can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup rice
1 tbsp margarine
1/2 tsp chicken flavour
Dash of pepper
Instructions:
In a small bowl drain pineapple, reserving 3 tbsp of juice. Place pineapple in separate bowl. Set aside with reserved juice.In a medium saucepan bring water to a boil. Stir in rice and margarine, chicken flavouring, pepper and ginger. Cover and simmer 20 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. During the last 10 minutes of cooking stir in reserved liquid. Remove saucepan from heat, stir pineapple into rice until well blended. Spoon into serving bowl.
*Optional – sprinkle with cashews or almonds
