Nana’s Chili Sauce

Ingredients:
16 large tomatoes
6 medium onions
1 red pepper
2 green peppers
1 large bunch celery
2 cup white vinegar
2 cups white sugar
3 tbsp. salt
Little bag of pickling spice
Instructions:
Rinse tomatoes, dip tomatoes in boiling water for several seconds.
Peel, cut out, and discard stem ends. Coarsely chop the tomatoes.
Add tomato mixture to a large pot along with the bag of pickling spice.
Put all veggies into a blender or processor. Chop and make sure there still a little chunky.
Add vinegar, sugar and salt.
Cook for about 1 hr and 30 minutes.
When sauce is thick, skim to remove foam.
Wash,sterilize, and drain jars and covers.
Fill drained jars immediately and seal tightly.
